Evaluation Services

Dr. Migden offers evaluations of learning strengths and weaknesses, as well as of emotional-behavioral problems. His psycho-educational and neuropsychological evaluations are highly individualized and comprehensive.  He has taught and presented workshops on assessment at universities, hospitals and professional conferences.  As a result, he is aware of both traditional and more contemporary issues in psychological, neuropsychological, and educational evaluation.  He is quite knowledgeable regarding the documentation requirements of testing agencies, independent schools, colleges, universities and professional licensing boards.  The recommendations that accompany his evaluation reports are explicit, clear and helpful. 

When indicated, Dr. Migden’s evaluation reports can be used to document disabilities under the relevant federal laws, including the Individuals With Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.  He is familiar with the revised guidelines for LD identification in the 2004 Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act, and has even provided workshops on this topic to physicians and educators.
